Recording A Specific Rank

PostSat Aug 23, 2014 1:02 pm

I'm trying to sample an organ at a church that I work at because it's being decommissioned and they're going with an electric organ. Here's my question: if there are 73 pipes in the rank of a stop in the great, how do you record the pipes that are above 8 ft and below 8ft by themselves. It's easy to do it with stops in the swell with couplers and I can play it with 16ft 4ft couplers on the great manual but I can't figure out a way to do it with a stop in the great just having those pipes sound. The specific stop is the Melodia. It's a 2 manual organ. This is the organ

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Record 1 - 61, put slips of paper under the toes of pipes 50 - 61, turn on the 4' coupler and record 62-73.
