Sampling pipe organs and turning them into something you can play in Hauptwerk.

transfer loop information to others wav file

PostThu May 05, 2016 4:58 pm

I made two stereo recording: one of close to the Organ and another away from the Organ by synchronous mode. I made the loops to close files. I would like to transfer loop information from close-files to similar far-files. With this I could save a lot of time. Is there some kind of opportunity?

You wish!

What software are you using to find loop points? Loop Auditioneer is very good.

Unfortunately, I don't think you would find the results satisfactory, even if you found a way to transfer them automatically. Good loop points in one set of files are highly unlikely to be good loop points in another, since good loop points depend upon precisely-matching phases and amplitudes for all harmonics, which almost certainly won't be the same even for two recordings of the same pipe from different positions (because of the differences in the room acoustics from the two recording positions, which will delay different harmonics differently).
Best regards, Martin.

Hi Martin, OK, so it makes perfect sense, thanks for the information. Best regards, Augustine
