Recording Harpischords

PostFri Feb 25, 2005 7:19 am

hi,

can anyone send me one tone and a extract from an .organ file for a recorded harpischord?
the problem is: harpischords are not percussive (because the tone stops if you release the key) and it is not possible to simply loop them, because the tone is constantly decreasing til a low limit. -> what to loop?

thanks

hello Mmoedern,
As far as I know, only Brett Milan would have definition files for harpsichord. I think licencing prohibits an end user from giving even part of a file. Maybe your best approach is to contact brett privately.

Hello. Actually this topic has been discussed somewhat on this forum in the past. See here:

There is a diagram showing the process of where the harpsichord samples were looped. Hopefully this may be of some help. Please feel free to purchase the Willard Martin Harpsichord sample set and see for yourself.

Thank you.
