has anyone a script for fade-in fade-out?

Sampling pipe organs and turning them into something you can play in Hauptwerk.

hello,

does anyone have a script for fade-in/fade-out at the begin/end of each sample (e.g. 5ms)? i tried it with cooledit but failed.
i want a batch in order to save time - the cooledit doc is not very helpful

thx

A script for fade-out

PostSun Feb 27, 2005 3:54 pm

Hi,
I recently developped a script to allow me to reduce reverb in organ samples (I wanted to limit the Skinner reverb to 1s in order to save memory).
It performs a fade out (from the release marker) on all the samples in a given directory.
It's written in Scilab (http://www.scilab.org), so it's not very fast, but it's automated (and allows full automatisation if needed).

Well, I don't know yet if I'll make it publicly available (I need a bit of reflexion).
So, if you're interested, please contact me.

Just a word on this: I think it can save a lot of time (and avoid very boring and repetitive tasks: such as doing the same thing on the 61 keys of a stop, multiplied by the number of stops...).
So, if you use it, I'd appreciate to have feedback (and why not, to hear the result?).

Jocelyn

PS: a fade-in script seems rather easy to write. I did not write it yet as I didn't need it. But, I can do it if someone needs it.
