Egil Hovland (1924-2013)

Norman Lebrecht announced the death today of the wonderful Norwegian composer Egil Hovland, who contributed a tremendous amount of excellent music to the organ and choral literature. In addition to his compositional activities, Hovland remained active as an organist in Frederikstad until his death.
