Why are there so few theatre organ recordings on contre-bombarde.com?

I'm afraid I don't know how to register or play theatre organs, so I'm not able to make any of my own contributions. However, I'd love to see more people upload stuff to the Concert Hall. Perhaps there are people on other forums (miditizer?) that have the VTPO sets from Neil Jensen or Brett Milan and don't know about the Concert Hall.

Also, I'm open to suggestions on how the site can be improved.

If I have time I will post some soon. The problem is mainly that the HW recorder output is dry and it requires some post processing to match the external reverb.

My question was a bit blunt with hindsight, and I can't exactly shout, my setup is not ready to record yet, perhaps with the forthcoming convolver there will be more contributors.

Rob you really should have a go at theatre organ playing if you like the sound, with your skills I am sure you could do a great job.

I love the Concert Hall it is one of my 3 daily site visits along with this forum and a forum on Peak Oil.

A few postings. . .

For what it's worth:

I just posted two TO mp3's on Concert Hall (ContraBombarde). I don't know how to do much in the actual theatre style, but I love the sounds of these instruments when playing hymns.

The pieces are recorded in my organ room and use both the MasterWorks and Connoisseur TO's at the same time.

So, Neil, be careful what you ask for. . . ;-)

Here is a little ditti for you. I hope you like it!! Rather simple and old fashioned, but suits the MDA wurlitzer very well.

I was delighted to hear these three recordings. Hopefully a sign of more to come.

Hi Neil, I've thought about trying my hand at theater organs. Since I've got the MIDI setup already, I was thinking of making my first attempt using MidiTzer since it's a free download. If I was able to make anything musical, perhaps I'd go for the Milan or Jensen set. I'm thinking that the native convolver will help boost demand for VTPO sets and dry sets in general.

I have very much enjoyed listening to all the recordings uploaded over the past few days!
