Find an Instrument near you??? on Contrebombarde

PostSun Nov 22, 2009 10:09 pm

This is probably not the right place, Contacted Contrebombarde .com before but nothing changed. When I access nearest instrument it Shows Chilliwack and Ladner and when I'm in Chilliwack at my HW friend's PC it shows up as Abbotsford (me) and one in Ladner. What gives?
Thanks to all you people for your never ending love for the ORGAN and the virtual Pipe Organ and helping the other guy. Organist's are a special breed of people.Cheer's to all of you.

It looks like you are probably logged in as your friend when you use the locator. That is why it shows you in Abbotsford when you try and use it. It goes by the address on the account that you are logged in under.

Log out of his account and log back in as you and your friend will show up in Chilliwack again.

Thanks Darryl,
My friend was at his PC in Chilliwack and showed the nearest one in Abbotsford.

When I'm home on mine PC it shows the nearest instrument is in Chilliwack so what gives? So who has the real demo? Abbotsford or Chilliwack. I know of 3 HW organs in chilliwack.

I'm really sorry I missed that Classic Organs Demo in the Abbotsford Trade centre last week for the Canadian Bible Leque.

Take care

A stupid question regarding the locator. As far as I know I'm signed up for this, but when I check instruments nearest me mine doesn't show up. Is this normal? If so how do I know mine is on there?

Thanks,
Eric

I believe that is normal. You don't see yourself in the locator.
But you are there Eric. I looked.

Yes. Thanks for answering Rob.

As far as why the others in Abbotsford don't show up? They are either not members of contrebombarde.com or they haven't signed up for the contrebombarde locator program. Please encourage them to be part of the program. We need more people on it. It helps to spread the word about Hauptwerk.

That goes for anyone, if you know someone who has Hauptwerk but is not part of the locator program, please encourage them to join it. We are particularly in need of people all over Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Texas at the moment. NYC, Calgary, Vancouver and Washington DC are cities that we could use more people as well. People often need to see and try Hauptwerk before they really believe that it sounds as good as it does. I get a lot of calls from those places and, while there are people who show up in those places, I don't think that they are actually Hauptwerk users. They're just happy site members who ended up in the locator list.

Thanks to all of you that use and who participate in the locator program. We really appreciate you doing so. If you've ever hosted someone, you know it's a blast. Just seeing the look on their faces when they try it is priceless.

I wish more people would indicate their location here in the forum in their profile.

I agree, I have a habit of looking for this on the post. It's especially nice when one sees someone that's not that far away, at least close enough that one could visit in a day's time.
