Change of Pitch

PostSun Jun 13, 2010 3:09 pm

I have noticed a strange phenomen. I copy my MP3 files to the Desktop and the descriptions to the clipboard to post a new track on ContraBombarde Concert Hall. I was surprised to see that the track changed pitch.

Probably, or maybe I am using an out of date Flash player. The pitch changes with Krewerd and Cembalo Mietke, but doesn't with St. Anne's, Moseley. With the OAM Bosch-Schnitger, not only is the key modified but the tempo is slower. at least with my equipment and software.

There is no server-side conversion happening, so if there's a pitch change, I'd imagine it is indeed in the 48K - 44.1K conversion.

Didn't earlier versions of the Flash 10 client have exactly this problem? I would say the first thing is to make sure that Flash is up to date, and go from there.

Unfortunately for me, W98 is not compatible with the latest versions of Flash. So I'll just go on being a content provider, trusting that my fans will be more up-to-date.
