Hello Rob

The Dell's can only be used in the landscape orientation with the fitted support stand and also angle back - if you want to use them in portrait mode, you really need to mount them in an enclosure, either in the case as James has done (see his console in a lower topic - viewtopic.php?f=21&t=10009 ) or remove the plastic enclosure to reduce the size as I have done. Re the vertical orientation and video card, on the Mac you simply select the orientation in the screen setup.
Dell don't do software for the mac but I purchased the driver from Touch-base.com and the driver works fine

Hi Ralph,

Wonderful work. This modern design is a nice suggestion to renew the traditional aesthetics usually associated to organ consoles...

What was it Ralph Cramden used to say on the Honeymooners?.... HAMMA HAMMA HAMMA HAMMA..... that's about all I can say about this project!! I bet the sound is as great as it's looks!! I don't know which is taller - those speakers or me...

Bravo!!!

It really is a thing of beauty. I do hope you have sound insulation or live a distance from other folk because with that audio setup you might blow out the windows! :D

I am staggered by the beauty of this design. Superbly executed. you clearly have a great vision and eye for detail.

I am inspired to produce a Theatre Organ version of this for my own setup!
Unfortunately, I do not have the skills to weld stainless steel and cut plexi-glass to this standard. :D

I wonder if Martin imagined his product presented as perfectly as this when he first started dabbling in organ software?

David,

I was very impressed with the design as well. It looks very smart IMHO.

I did wonder if a "poor man's" verson could be made using stock items from a shop fitting place. For example:
http://www.shopfittings.biz/prodtype.asp?cookiecheck=yes&PT_ID=996&strPageHistory=cat. Your local glazier might cut the glass for you. That just leaves the woodwork ...

My alternative plan is to win the lottery :)

Regards,
Richard

Richard,

I'm not sure what "WOW!" means in Welsh, if it actually is Welsh. But I'm sure I gather the tenor of your exclamations. In Welsh it's, "Allan!" or "Way out!" in vernacular English. I agree, this console is a true gem.

"Allan" I am told is Welsh for "Exit" or "Way out". :P
