My project...

PostWed May 30, 2012 9:41 pm

Now that the sound components are in place, I've turned my attention to the console. Actually, I've had one on order since February, but the builder has run into difficulties with his facility and will need time to get it all sorted. The vendor graciously cancelled the order, so I went on the search for a console that I could covert. This is what I found:

Möller console from Calvary Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, previously from a church in Houston.

The midification was almost complete by the seller. I only have to install my keyboard stack, pedal boards and fabricate the piston rail (simple task) The stops, couplers and expression pedals are all ready to be attached.

I nearly leaped out of my seat when I saw it on eBay and then in organ classified. When it gets delivered, I've already gotten a supply of Formby's refinisher to clean up the finish. Also 2 articulated monitor arms so that I have a choice to use them or swing them out of the way for access to the draw knobs.
