Where do you buy the lighted stop tabs from?

These people make them in the UK, but I don't know if they deal direct with the general public.

These people also make them in Canada, but VAT and import duty almost double the listed price.

Thanks. Do you know how much they are from Musicom? And what's the interface like? Those Canadian ones sure are expensive!

I think you would be looking at something in the region of £20 per switch.
As with most things organ-related, you are dealing with very small production runs of specialist items, so although the cost of the actual components is relatively trivial, the unit-cost of the finished article is ridiculously high.
I can't tell you anything about the interface, but the switches that I was shown details of were pretty novel in that they came individually, and you could clip together as many as you wanted to make up a row.

That's an exemplary project in every respect. There is much to admire and learn from it. Particularly I'm fond of the tablets embedded in the console. Great low-costs solution! In order to have my own tablet working as a monitor, I found an application called USB Mobile Monitor. Did you use that? Could you share how did you manage it, specially if you use a better way? Thanks a lot in advance and congratulatios for a terrific work.

Hello Rafael,

Many thanks for your comments. I'm pleased you find my work interesting. By the way your post is also very interesting because I don't know the USB Mobile Monitor app. This app could be an elegant solution but I need to test it. For my project I used TOUCHOSC from Hexler company. This is a remote application using wireless network. What I appreciate with TOUCHOSC is the incorporated editor which give an easy way to draw a screen according to the sampleset used by Hauptwerk. What I don't appreciate is this program seems no more supported by Hexler. By the way the wireless network works fine but it's clearly not really usefull due to the fact that there is less than one meter between the motherboard and the tablets ! TOUCHOSC don't support a wired USB connexion. But finally that works, and the editor is really useful.

I had take a look about some apps like USB Mobile Monitor but no one had this kind of editor. I'm not interested to have to program in C++ or XML for this kind of project. By experience the stops interface is a key point with the customer and it is really interesting to have a quick way to modifiy the appearance of the tablets. For this point TOUCHOSC do the job.

All the best

Awesome, Bernard, excellent job!

Before there was an ask for the audio configuration of the organ in church. Could you explain it?
Best regards
Thomas

Hello Ed,

Reading again this post I see I never answer to your question. The sound system used in the church is the YAMAHA DX Bundle (DXS12 and two DXR8) 950W + 2x1100W !!! The sound is simply great !
