Dear Eric,

our MIDI consoles have one MIDI Controller unit which we developed and programmed ourselves, and this is what we connect all other parts with: keyboards, thumb and toe pistons, swell and crescendo pedals as well as LCD displays. Hence everything is concentrated in one place, from there it connects to the sound card via two tuchel connectors and then to the PC.

Best wishes

This console is beautiful. Very wel made!
I think this project is not cheap so it puzzles me why using a focusrite soundcard? It is not a bad soundcard but such a setup deserves a high end sound card like a RME Ucx. I owned the focusrite but now i play with the Ucx and this is a major improvement.

Dear Jan,

thank you for your comments. The church we delivered the organ to belongs to a small parish which limited the possibilities significantly due to financial restraints. The organ player of the parish is a great fan of Cavaillé-Coll organs and therefore asked for the console to imitate the CC style as much as possible. We were able to deliver this without compromises. For a perfect sound system the funds were not sufficient, hence we had to enter compromises in that regard. The Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 is a great sound card, though there are certainly better ones available, like the RME Ucx. We have ideas for a future upgrade of the audio system, in the course of which we will also need a professional sound card. The instrument sounds wonderful as is by the way.

Best Regards

This console is impressive. I have never seen a Cavaille-Coll reproduction look so authentic as this one. You should be very proud of your skill and work. As has been mentioned by another member, your attention to detail is excellent. It looks similar to the St. Clotilde organ that Franck played.

Dear Antoni,

thank you for the kind words about our Cavaillé-Coll organ. We did indeed spend a lot of time on the small details in order to make it authentic. Attached see two pictures:
One of them shows César Franck at the St Clotild organ. The second picture was taken last Sunday in Budapest. László Révész gave an amazing concert and the photographer caught a moment that frighteningly resembles the picture taken cca.140 years ago.

When I built my Hauptwerk system I used a 1980 Schantz console for the core. I retained the toe pistons plus four pedals that act as toe pistons. The work very similarly to those that are on a Cavaille-Coll. I have attached a link to photobucket ( I do not know how to post images on this site) showing these pedals.

Dear All,

as I mentioned earlier, László Révész gave an excellent concert on our new Cavaillé-Coll style console. Attached please find two recordings from the concert.
