Rodgers Console Conversion

PostSun Feb 19, 2012 4:41 pm

Original two manual Rodgers 750BE console, with CMK keyboards still sitting on the standard plastic supports. Stop rails are in place to fill the holes but are non-functional. (c. 2007):

Current configuration, console rebuilt for three manuals, stop tabs removed. Need to figure out how to get the CPU into the case and still make it accessible, and do a better job of hiding the monitor cables, but there's no great rush. More fun to play than work :) Audio is 12 B2031A's and a Velodyne subwoofer.

Very well done Grant, also looks quite functional - must be a pleasure to play on that.

Congrats Grant!

Installing a third keyboard in that console must have been a tough work! The result is quite awesome, one cannot figure out there had been a transformation. 8)

Grant,

Very handsome organ. Did you midi-fy the Rodgers pedalboard or is that a new one? What product did you use to convert it?

It's the original Rodgers pedalboard. I rewired the pedalboard reed switches into a 4x8 matrix (adding a diode in each lead), and used a Classic MKSC-1a encoder, which also manages the 3 expression pedals.

Grant,

Do you by any chance still have the old Rogers 750B keyboards and keycheeks?
