Sneak a peak at our consoles.

PostTue May 08, 2012 4:00 pm

The black satin ones are cut and just waiting for our packaging to arrive. The red walnut ones are about 3 weeks behind those. Our production partner is so excited about them, they posted pics of the project in process on their blog.

I'm still working on documentation, shipping issues and such but I should have the black ones up on the website for pre-ordering tomorrow.

We hope you like this sneak preview.

Don't forget to check the matching key cheeks out at http://www.midiworks.ca/index.php/produ ... key-cheeks.

They're solid hardwood with Skinner-style fronts. The music rack moves in and out as well as up and down. AND... They're modular. So, you can still start with a couple manuals and add more later if you wish.

Darryl,

These new console tables look really exciting! I love the sleek, modern look, and -- wonder of wonders -- toe studs!

I just hope you keep them in stock for at least two years, because that's when I retire and move back to my hometown in North Carolina -- my house, there, has room for one these that my current one does not. I don't know how I'm going to be able to wait two years, however!

Thanks for sharing the announcement of this new product with us!

Darryl,
Will there be any chance of an unfinished model?

Dimensions? depth and width?

Also, I assume my Classic MIDI Works pedal board and 3 shoes will just slide in place?

Thanks for the feedback Chris. It's much appreciated.

Ollie, an unfinished model is in the works. It's just a matter of launching them one at a time with the appropriate support.

Dimensions on the console table are 62 3/8" w x 32 1/2 h x 33" d. The pedalboard slides right in and it acommodates 3 swell shoes.

The red walnut are next and then the unfinished models. If people have a particular interest in unfinished models in the meantime, please email me directly at darrylw@organworks.com

Hi Darryl,

Congratulations on the new consoles, they look fantastic! What type of fasteners are used to connect the pieces?

ps. Say 'Hi' to Henry for me!

The fasteners are heavy duty cam fasteners. Sometimes people like to move these consoles into other venues and stuff. These allow the table to be taken apart without having to worry about stripping screw holes and such.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll say "hi" to Henry for you.

Darryl, tell us about the toe studs. Do they come with any sort of midi interface, or is that all left entirely up to the buyer? If so, what will you be recommending for those who might ask you for help?

Hi Chris,

Good question.

For users that have our pedalboard, there is a toe stud junction board you can add into the pedalboard. You'll be able to plug the toe studs into that.

For those who do not have our pedalboards, the toe studs can be wired to that via a junction board on the back of the bolster (or directly if you like).

Hello Darryl,

It seems your table is made for a 3-manual instrument. Do you plan to make it for 4 manuals too? Will you bundles be ready soon? With 4 manuals?

Hi Luc,

The consoles will work with all of our key cheek sets from 1 - 4 manuals.

Thanks for asking.

Folks, I got to see one of the black consoles on a recent trip to Toronto. I was impressed with the look and quality of it. It is a real beauty!

Thank you, Darryl, for showing it to us.
