Assinging recording to MIDI

PostSat Dec 03, 2016 10:15 am

I have purchased two Behringer TC64 MIDI pads and I would like to assign start and stop recording to 2 buttons. Is that possible? I don't care for file names, I can rename them later and probably will just keep the last one or can listen to them and pick one to keep.

I saw menu item General settings\Advanced MIDI applications\MIDI/key triggers for loading organs and other global menu functions, but I have not seen anything related to recording functionality.

If you look at the large recording control panel (from the View menu) you can right click on the controls and assign them to whatever midi source you want (using the auto detect ). I use my Launchpad to control the HW audio and midi recorder and set it up this way.

Thank you very much. I did not realize that basically on every button MIDI function can be assigned.
