multi channel soundcard experience

PostMon Feb 20, 2017 7:46 am

My M audio Delta 1010LT failed after years of good service.
I am looking for a affordable alternative and found the ESI Gigaport HD+. This is an external USB card.
See: www.esi-audio.com/products/gigaporthd+/
It has its limitations but is 8 channel and fits in my budget.
Has anyone experience with this card ? Is it easy to configure for use with a multichannel Hauptwerk set-up?
Thanks for your help.

Best regards

Do note that only 6 channels are available for 48 kHz sample sets, though 24 bit resolution is available. Also the settings have to be manually made I believe. I haven't any direct experience with this unit myself, but it seems to be appreciated by many as a very bare bones inexpensive unit.
