Active sensing filter available?

PostTue Oct 03, 2017 1:23 pm

Trying to analyze MIDI output from a MIDI out port of a strange (to me) organ. Hauptwerk ignores it, but I can't
read it in MidiOx because of the Active Sensing scrolling. Is there something like a software program to filter out A/S while permitting seeing any other MIDI or SysEx messages?

To 'amplify' Murph, on the Options menu, select MDI Filter and tick the box for 'System Realtime' and the Active Sensing messages should be filtered out.

I used the option filter initially, but it also filters out everything every thing else as well, including note on/off and sysex messages. I've used the filter previously. A slight problem, I have no idea about this organ as to manufacturer, etc. no clues, and I don't recognize the electronics either. It appears to be foreign (not USA) built not that it is an issue. Only parts of it are working. Trying to evaluate (for a friend) if it's worth converting. He doesn't want to spend much on it at this point.

I've never had that experience with MIDIOX.

If you click on the box next to 'System Realtime' you'll see that it should only filter Clock, Start, Continue, Stop, Active Sense and Reset messages. Something else must be getting in the way. I use MIDIOX extensively and nearly always run with the filter enabled and System Realtime ticked.
