It works fine for what it does. As does the other P I Engineering X-Keys models. It does need to be "in focus" on your computer. In my case, (and it is overkill), I use a X-keys XK-60 to control toy counter effects among other things on my Rodgers theatre organ temporarily. I say temporarily because the future plan is to add pistons eventually to control these (toy counter) sounds. For right now until I have more time, the XK-60, mounted in a pull out drawer under the key desk, is doing the job just fine.
