ASIO for an M Audio Interface

PostMon Jul 13, 2020 3:07 pm

I'm considering this interface (M-Audio AIR 192|4 USB C Audio Interface). The specs don't say ASIO, but it seems they designed it with low latency in mind. Should I avoid this interface? I like that it has USB C. I'm running Windows 10. I only use headphones.
Thanks,
Scott

It has it's own M-Audio drivers. I'm not familiar with this specific interface, but I don't see any obvious reason to avoid it. It isn't likely you would need some other ASIO driver. I don't see any Mac drivers, but there are drivers for most Windows versions.

HI,

From this document (https://m-audio.com/assets/documents/AIR192-6-UserGuide-v1.1.pdf, page 3 instructing how to setup with Ableton Live, it is writing to select "ASIO (windows) or CORE (Mac)"... so I guess it is ASIO since Ableton is using ASIO to communicate with the Audio interface.
Best regards
François
