Retuning Hauptwerk

PostSun Sep 12, 2004 4:38 am

Hallo!
I have just joined the Hauptwerk forum, planning to be using Hauptwerk in a few months.

I have a small pipe organ, which I want to transform into a combination organ (pipes and electronic) using Hauptwerk. Unfortunately my pipe organ is tuned so high that I cannot tune it down to the Hauptwerk standard of 440.

Is it possible, conversely, to tune Hauptwerk up to my 448 approximately?

Thanks for your answers and best regards from Germany,

Peter (PGK)

Hello Peter,

Not easily with the current version of Hauptwerk, I'm afraid. However the forthcoming Hauptwerk v2 has adjustable tuning and temperaments.

However, a gentleman called Martun Dümig has written a small utility program which can retune Hauptwerk samples. See:

I haven't actually tried it, but I believe it should do what you need.

Martin.

Martin, Peter, et al.,
Martin Dümig's little utility is a gem. I can vouch for it wholeheartedly. Than you Martin and Martin.
