Greetings from Cape Town
I am in the process of developing a general MIDI interface for any existing keyboard / pedal board. Some specifications:
1. 64 optic interruptor inputs
2. 2 A/D inputs
3. Standard MIDI output
For a typical 2-manual organ with pedalboard you will need 3 sets of the interface and if you want to physically interface the stops, another is needed.
The design is based on the Motorola MC68HC908 microcontroller. I have developed the hardware using off-the-shelf components. The PCB layouts and software for the processor and interface is undergoing final testing from prototype to rev 1.0
The idea is to complie a kit whith which a MIDI interface to any existing instrument can be made without interruption of the normal working of the instrument.
This is purely a labour of passion, and should anybody be interested, let me know.
I will set up a web-site with detail sometime in the future.
