MIDI Message for "All Notes Off"?

PostWed May 18, 2005 6:36 pm

Is there a MIDI equivalent for "all notes off"? Martin has provided the "Escape" key to do it on the computer keyboard. I want to do it from the console and combine it with "Grand Cancel" in case of ciphers (very rare). Any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

A quick google turned up:

MIDI controller 0x7b (123) is the "all notes off" signal, send a value of 0 to this controller on every channel you wish to silence.

Regards,
Chris.

Thanks, Chris. I looked on my list of controllers, and, boom, there it was, number 123. Thanks.
