Connecting Pedalboard Pistons to Hauptwerk

PostFri Feb 10, 2006 2:54 pm

I have a full pedalboard that came from a church. I have used Classic Organ's MKSC-4A MIDI module to hook it up, and it works well. But... there are seven pistons on this pedalboard that are not connected to the module. Apparently I can wire them in, but they will only send Note-on/Note-off messages (a module limitation).

Is there anyway I can then convert these into Program-Change messages to trigger the virtual pistons in my Hauptwerk v1 organs?

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You might be able to use MIDI-OX to translate the message types to program changes (see the links page on the main website). I've never actually tried it properly, but other people do use it to translate various message types.

Martin.
