My Midified AGO Pedalboard Project

Crude, but good enough for a pianist from Brooklyn.

Special thanks to Jean-Marc for sending me pics of his much more elegantly executed project which inspired this for me.

24 gauge wired is laced through the holes drilled straight through the key and housing of the cheap midi keyboard (mini keys no less!. Wire is wrapped around the tabs on the pedal ends and balled up on the key side.

"Regulation" is via tightening up the balled up end.

More pics as I proceed through the project.

This would likely be too fussy for a pro, but for someone starting out like me it is fine. I paid about 14 US$ for the keyboard and got the AGO pedals for free from the piano dealer where I bought my piano.

Well. a couple of people have sent me pics of their own "tracker" set ups and I can tell you that they have executed it in a much more elegant manner!

Now that's what I call inventive! It certainly put a smile on my face.

Thanks Martin G!

Here's some more pics of the 'console' unit. Roughly follows AGO standards, the lower manual is 29 inches above the middle D pedal, AGO calls for 29.5. Of course, these are 88 key manuals which is not AGO standard. Need to get a bench now.

Thanks to Cole who sent me a PDF file with all the AGO specifications.
