Great -Choir manual transfer

PostMon Oct 17, 2016 10:19 pm

I've looked around and cannot seem to find an answer for this: is there a Great - Choir manual transfer function within HW? I'm looking at Hereford, but love the French repertoire.

Hello¡
Do you mean couplers? If so, HW has plenty of them: View/large floating control panels/Master couplers.

Do you mean flipping them - Choir in place of Great and visa versa?

As far as I am aware this isn't native to the Hereford sample set. However you should be able to recreate it using the floating keyboards function within Hauptwerk.

If you always wanted the Great to be the bottom manual you could auto detect the Great division as the bottom manual and the Choiras the second manual.

Alternatively, as already suggested, you could use the Floating Divisions function in HW to swap the mauals when you wanted to play French music. I use floating divisions with Hereford to swap the lower manual between the Solo and Choir organs and trigger the change from a piston.

Hello Mister_Mirabilis,

[Topic moved here.]

To add to others' replies, in case you want to flip the Great/Choir assignments around dynamically (e.g. at the push of a MIDI piston), then Hauptwerk's floating divisions could do that, and are covered in the 'Registration menu: floating divisions' section in the main Hauptwerk user guide (pages 110-118 in the current v4.2.1 version).
Best regards, Martin.

Thank you for your replies. I'm about to order my pistons and now will add this one to the list!
