Using general combinations from thumb pistons

PostSat Oct 29, 2016 11:57 pm

Sort of on this topic, is it possible to assign a general to a thumb piston so as to activate the general from a more convenient location?

Assigning (and controlling) generals (and divisionals) via thumb pistons is the most common method. i've also mirrored many of the generals to be controlled by toe pistons as well. There are many piston encoders, my fav after trying several different ones is Roman Sowa's LITSW which includes drivers for piston LED's.

Re: Master generals combination stepper?

Hello Erzahler,

You can just right-click on (almost) any control panel button (including master generals and stepper pistons), then select 'Auto-detect ...' (in the normal way) to configure the button automatically to be triggered from a MIDI piston.

Hello Erzahler,

I've split your original two duplicate posts off from their respective topics and put them into this new topic, since they aren't really part of the original topics' technical support issues, and since you'd posted the question twice in different places.

(Just for future reference, please try to post any given question in only one place, so that it keeps the subsequent discussion in once place and so that people don't end up having to reply in duplicate, or duplicating each others' replies. Many thanks.)
Best regards, Martin.
