Matching base pitch display to match organ

PostFri Jan 20, 2017 7:15 pm

Good day,

One of the organ set I have, shows the base pitch as 440, but in reality it is pitched at 392. Is there a way for me to change the display to match the pitch of the organ (392)?

Thanks,

Stephane

Hello Stephane,

Joseph Basquin contacted us a couple of weeks ago to ask us exactly the same question for that same pitch value, so I assume you're referring to a sample set of his? He mentioned it was one of his older sample sets.

Either way, it's actually something that the sample set maker (e.g. Joseph) would need to correct within the sample set itself (and within its sample files); it isn't something that an end-user can change, I'm afraid.

Good day Martin,

Thanks for your reply.

My question is indeed for the Silbermann set.

Mr Basquin tried but said when he changed the display it would also transpose the whole organ a whole ton further down.

I was hoping there might be an easy solution.

Thanks,

Stéphane

Thanks, Stéphane.

No easy solution, I'm afraid.
