I've posted elsewhere about using Windows 10 Game Mode to help put a damper on background services that can cause audio glitches, or skipped video frames in games. With Hauptwerk running, hold the Windows key and press G to bring up a small Game Mode window. Select settings and tick the first box to set Game Mode for Hauptwerk.
The only other change I have needed to make for Windows 10 Pro was to disable Superfetch. Do try all the other changes in the previously mentioned posts if necessary.
