How do you track down (and eliminate) multiple (output) destinations?

Hello Ed,

I am not exactly sure what setting you are referring to? Do you mean Audio output groups and which ranks are associated with them?

Thanks for replying, Brett.

Yes, I have 3 audio outputs (out of 24) that state multiple destinations

Audio outputs - Main - Essential settings - Device channel - drop down
001: Out (Multiple destinations) 1,
003: Out (Multiple destinations) 3,
004: Out (Multiple destinations) 4.

Not sure when that occurred or how to find and correct. This notation appeared before I had assigned any ranks.

Hello Ed,

The entries in the device channels list are simply the channel names that the audio driver presents, i.e. that 'multiple destinations' text isn't part of Hauptwerk; it will be something within your audio driver's control panel configuration.
Best regards, Martin.

Thanks, Martin,

I didn't think a Hauptwerk output could be routed to more than a single destination but didn't realize an audio interface (in this case MOTU 24 Ao) could reflect back into Hauptwerk in that manner. Looking further into the 24Ao, it does permit inputs from the computer (host software which is Hauptwerk) to be routed to physical outputs (on the 24 Ao) in addition to the 48 channel built-in mixer as well to other outputs such as ADAT and AVB streams. So that is where I checked and found the multiple destinations. Problem solved.

Ed
