How to fix - everything is coupled

PostWed Sep 26, 2018 4:41 am

Hello all,
We have hauptwerk running on an old Johannus console for a couple of years now.
Some weeks ago it suddenly happened that the pedal board is coupled to both keyboards and the bottom keyboard is coupled to the top keyboard. This happened even though the couplers (pedal to keyboard and great to swell) are not engaged.
I reloaded the organ - same problem.
I loaded another organ - same problem.
I then restored an earlier backup - same problem.

Any suggestions? Is it likely software related or hardware?
And why would this suddenly rear its head when it has been working fine for quite some time.
Thanks

I suggest checking that each "manual" is (still) sending on a distinct midi channel. The encoder in the console may have changed its settings (for some reason) or developed a fault.

You can use the HW midi logging or another program (for example MidiMedi (on a PC) https://www.midiworks.ca/index.php/downloads or Midiox http://www.midiox.com/ on a PC or a MAC) to check this out.
