hereford great trebles too soft

Postby PeterHarris » Mon Feb 11, 2019 10:19 am

Hi
I'm running latest version of hauptwerk on windows 10, and have the Hereford Cathedral 67 XL sample set

When playing on the great I notice that the notes from middle C going downwards get progressively louder, whilst going upwards from middle C there is no increase in volume. therefore the bass is far louder than the trebles. Is there a global setting I can change to alter this, or does it mean going into each stop on the great and progressively increasing the volume manually of each the trebles which is going to be time consuming.

If there is any shortcut to help me, I would be most grateful to learn of it

This sounds like an equalisation problem of some sort to me.

Are you using a subwoofer? Though for it only to affect the great would suggest an
audio routing issue as well.

Peter, two possible solutions:
1. Go to Organ settings > Pipe & rank voicing.
You can adjust various parameters for (a) single notes; (b) a whole octave; or (c) the whole rank.
(The latter two options with octave and master sliders.)
2. In Hereford, look for the Settings tab.
I think you will find sliders for each manual.

Thanks Douglas
I missed the set volume for whole octave, I only saw the set volume per note

Many thanks
