Error installing Redlands Casavant organ

PostTue Dec 17, 2019 3:06 pm

Hi

I'm not able to load Redlands Casavant organ and perhaps some of you could help me.

The steps I have followed are:

1.- I have downloaded the Casavant version for Hauptwerk V and I have been able to install it (at least, it was de compressed on the temporary subfolder, in HauptwerkSampleSetsAndComponent).

2.- When I try to load it, I have the error message and the folder "002314" is not longer in the temporary folder. Also it is not moved into OrganInstallationPackages folder.

This is the error message.

"Organ package ID 002314 (University of Redlands) is not installed, but is needed for this instrument. The supplier of the package is Jonathan Orwig.

Message code (for diagnostic purposes): 4771"

I have other organs already installed on Hauptwerk V (from Lavender Audio and OAM) and they are working
fine. The Casavant organ is also included in my iLok manager

Any suggestion?

Hello Jmecho,

Unless any other users of the sample set have any tips on it to offer, I think it would be best to contact CLR/Evensong about that first -- it's their sample set, so they'd be in the best position to know what's included, what needs to be installed, and to look into what might be wrong.
Best regards, Martin.

Here’s what I had to do.

1) deleted data 002314
2) deleted organ Redlands
3) installed files (14 downloaded rar files) took a long time
4) the installation package and definition file went to the temporary folder
5) install was not a choice for data
6) organ was installed
7) temp files gone
8) repeated steps 3 & 4 but copied the 002314 files to another drive
9) install was not a choice for data - organ was installed
10) temp files gone again, copied them back to the proper location

There was an error in the install files that made this extra step necessary, apologies to all who have had issues. The install files have been updated and tested with a clean installation, so far no further problems have been reported.

Apologies to folks for the issues - I think most sample producers have had at least one thing sneak through... it's not been as smooth for us as we would have liked, either.

I would suspect that in the following weeks this will all calm down as we (and MDA) get the kinks worked out.... (and users make their way through migration)

I also suspect that since many of us are church musicians and busy with seasonal things connected to that rality, that our patience is less, and our focus diverted enough that it's easy to make mistakes or not have the time to spend going through the steps for the upgrade in a careful manner.

Best to all,

If we have already downloaded all the many install files when they were first made available but have not yet installed them in HW5, must they all be re-downloaded again, or was just one of them erroneous?
