Good evening,

You may want to try later. If it still doesn't work then contact me at support [at] hauptwerk.com and attached in your email your migration file and your ilok user id.

Re: empty license migration page?

Hi, I have just upgraded from Advanced v4.2 to v5.01 on a Mac with High Sierra OS. It was quite straightforward and I have some non encrypted organs working - thanks for a great product. Now I want to migrate Hereford. I have created the migration file from HW V.

There still seems to be a problem with the "Hauptwerk V Licence Migration" screen on this page https://www.hauptwerk.com/prev5licensemigrations/ . The button produces a blank page . I have tried with Safari, Chrome and Firefox all with cleared cache and rebooted Mac.

I only have Mac kit. I wonder if you have discovered any workaround?

Thanks,
Geoff

I just tried it on Safari. As was happening previously, it does come up blank. But … if you wait about 10 seconds, the page will populate.

Thanks very much, Grant. I just tried it again and as you say after 10 seconds, the form populated.

Unfortunately, in the last couple of hours my trusty Apple MacPro 5.1 tower decided to start rebooting, getting halfway, crashing and repeating. I have tried all the usual actions like getting into safe mode but I can't even get it to read the bootable USB High Sierra installer file to set it all up again .... so the migration file I created is now inaccessible. Things were going so well, but this looks like a hardware issue.

I have backups up to just before I created the migration file for the Hereford so I can setup HW V on another Mac.

Could I ask Martin or the Support Team if they can help me get my Hereford sample set onto my iLok account without a migration file?

Many thanks,
Geoff

Good afternoon,

Try another browser, wait 10-20 seconds. In some cases, emptying the browser' cache solved the problem. Also, trying a bit later solves the problem.

I just tested on my side and it is working correctly. If all fail, contact me at support[at] hauptwerk.com

That's a bummer. Hope you can get it worked out ..

Mac boot issues are often related to memory. Does your machine report as much memory as you think you have installed? I had a problem with my (1,1) Mac Pro early on that required pulling the memory trays and reseating the memory sticks a couple of times. Also with my new Mac Mini. After installing a 64KB 3rd party upgrade it failed to boot. I disassembled it again, and discovered that one memory card wasn't fully seated. (The mini has these rubber end pieces that have to be put back over the memory clips, and in the process of doing that, I missed the fact that a memory card had popped loose and wasn't properly seated… )

Hi again,

A good day today ... I managed to recover the Mac - stopped it continually rebooting. Its seems the ELOGalaxy touchscreen USB connections were the culprit. (I was thinking of replacing them with Iiyama at some stage so will get on with that).

So I found the migration file i created before the problem, eventually got the blank migration form to populate and the iLok process worked just as described. So I now have Hereford on HW V!

Thanks for your advice and to MDA for a great product!

Hi all,

I have also experienced the blank page for https://www.hauptwerk.com/license-migration/
(Repeatably for several days, and on linux, windows, android and with firefox and chromium)

I have debugged into the (compressed and hence cryptic) javascript and it seems that some space computations for some iframe may fail. (Detail: If one replaces "return false;" by "return true;" at the end of function c, the form appeared).

This page actually forwards to the page https://hauptwerksite.milandigitalaudio.com/prev5licensemigrations/ which does not seem to suffer from this flaw.

And it seems that one can indeed use this form to update.

Use https://hauptwerksite.milandigitalaudio.com/prev5licensemigrations/ if the link produces a blank page.

Best, Mattias

Hi

I want to upgrade my Hauptwerk version to v5. I bought a licence in late December but have only now had time to start the process.

Unfortunately, your "Instructions for upgrading licences to Hauptwerk v5 from an earlier versions" says that I need to upgrade my pre-v5 Hauptwerk USB key from https://www.hauptwerk.com/v4license-updates/

I get the message "page not found" all the time.

A lot of other people seem to be having similar problems!
