Hi all,
just to share my experience for the possible benefit of others.
I have recently upgraded to V5. After installing, when launching HW v5, the program would crash.
I received system error messages complaining that system files like MSCVP140.DLL and VCRUNTIME140.DLL were missing. Eventually, I received an OS error 0x1c.
After some research, I have noticed that the installation of the iLok-Manager failed on my machine.
In short: If you receive the above system error messages on a freshly installed Windows HW v5 instance, it is likely that iLok-Manager is not (properly) installed.
Best,
Mattias
PS: Installation worked out fine on Windows 8.1
