Assign favorite organs to buttons/ and backup upon exit

Hello once again. I was wondering if it is possible to assign favorite organs to midi buttons such as on a launchpad? Also what does it take so long for Hauptwerk to do a backup upon exiting the program?

Yes. If you want to assign individual favourite organ numbers to individual Launchpad buttons, then go to the 'General settings | MIDI/key triggers for master pistons and menu functions (for all organs)' screen, scroll to the very bottom of the list in the left-hand pane, expand the 'Advanced items' node, select the 'Organ: favorite 01' entry, then use its 'Auto-detect settings' button, then do likewise for any of the other slot numbers that you want to assign to buttons.

Also what does it take so long for Hauptwerk to do a backup upon exiting the program?

It will simply be that you have a lot of settings/combination files (e.g. for lots of different organs). The more organs you use, and the more combination files you save, the more there will be to back up. If your Hauptwerk settings are installed on an SSD then that will help with backup speed.

Perhaps worth noting. You should keep copies of all installers for HW (as the version you want may not be available from MDA. You should also keep all sample set ‘bundles’ . These are not backed by HW’s backup system.
