Cannot install HW 8 on Mac

Hi,

I just bought the upgrade HW VI to HW VIII and loaded down the zip installer. My Mac (Monterey) is not able to install the app:

“InstallHauptwerk_v8.0.1.002.app” cannot be opened because Apple cannot scan for malware in it.
This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.

I have been using Macs since 1989 but never saw this message, but only older software which is not compatible anymore.

How can I proceed?


PS: In iLok I also did not see the HW 8 licence after activation, also a bit strange.

Thanks very much for the purchase, and also for the status update. Glad to hear you resolved it.

Just for reference for anybody else who might read this thread and have the same question: one needs to right-click on the unZIPped installer, and select 'Open', as covered in the installation/upgrading instructions in the Hauptwerk user guide.
