A professional audio type reports, on the Microsoft 64 bit newsgroup,
that the good old Audiophile 9624, for which a 64 bit driver is downloadable
(a beta driver as is the present available to the public x64 os) is operating
very well in his system set up. He reporrts that he has been able
to install and run Sound Forge 6 and Waves plug ins and everything works
great.
My diffricult experience with the Firewire 410 does not mean that all
M-Audio 64 bit hardware is defective. However, have no way to report
about the latency issue, etc. with the 9624 in the x64 system; that
is an important issue for us HW users. Will see what I can learn from
MAudio about this card and its' 64 bit driver.
