Stupid question time #001

PostFri Jan 20, 2006 10:09 pm

I received my Ver. 2 earlier this evening. Thank you, Martin.

I have just one (for now) question about processor type. My AMD Athlon XP 3200+ with XP Pro 32 bit, does it belong with the Pentium 4 with which it is supposedly equivalent (even though it's not mentioned by name on the install screen), or does it belong with Pentium II, III, and compatible processors? I want to make sure that I set up Hauptwerk to give the best performance with my hardware.

The older Athlon processors are Pentium II and III compatible, not Pentium 4.

Stupid question time #002

Thanks, Iain. That worked.

Now for question #002.

Is there an easy way (I already know the hard way) to list or print all of my inputs on the numerous Setting screens? Planning all of the variables is quite a daunting task!

I have decided that after I have come up with too many questions, I will read the User Guide. I hope, Martin, that you don't mind that I put it into Word and printed it out. Even with my lovely LCD screen, I don't like to read from the monitor that much.

I am also going to read the UG since I'm not overly fond of looking stupid in front of the whole of humanity!

Martin, have I ever said, "Thank you," to you. Your HW 2 program is fantastic!

Martin.
