Oloron-Sainte-Marie & Erfurt Büßleben - new sample sets

PostThu Feb 13, 2020 5:34 pm

Hello everyone,
As probably most of you noticed (who follow me on Facebook), I released two new sample sets on my website https://piotrgrabowski.pl
Oloron-Sainte-Marie is a sample set of 24 stop French style organ built by Aristide Cavaillé-Coll in 1870.
Erfurt Büßleben is a sample set of 28 stop baroque organ built by Georg Christoph Stertzing in 1702.

For more details, video presentations please look at my website. Both are HW4 and HW5 compatibile and available in 6-channel format (3 pairs of: close/dry, front, rear microphones).

I waited with this announcement (I announced it on Facebook last Friday, one week ago), because when I was releasing free sample sets before, I always had problems with large downloads, exceeding bandwith limits etc. This time it wasn't any different. Sharing big files over Internet isn't easy task. I'm still struggling with it and probably I will delay some other releases to try to solve this issue.
Please be forgiving for any download issues. If you have any problems, please contact me directly via e-mail info@piotrgrabowski.pl

Current sale will end on 24th of February.

Your new sample sets look and sound very promising, thank you for preparing them! Especially I am looking forward to the the new Mascioni set.
Regarding the download: I suggest that you prepare smaller chunks instead of one big file as other sample set producer do (a zipper like 7z can do this easily). So it is not that frustrating, when one of those chunks fails while downloading it. But to start all over again with a nearly 10GB file expierencing a sometimes very low available bandwidth is rather frustrating.

With one big file it is easier to install. That's why I suggest to use download managers, which prevent downloads from breaking. Anyway I will consider this in future.
