Free composite sampleset: Zurek Organ v5 for Hauptwerk V

PostMon Feb 03, 2014 11:53 am

After five years this composite organ is apparently still popular. That is proof of the quality of the work of Jiri Zurek!
Now that Hauptwerk V required Freiberg to be coded again, this version of the Zurek organ has also been adapted.
The text below is from 2014. However, the links with the files are still working!

If you have already installed the Zurek organ v.5 sample set, you only have to do the following:
1) Download and install the new Freiberg demo
https://www.sonusparadisi.cz/en/downloa ... mple_id/9/
2) Download and install the ODF:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/qnp6pvtrhr0c1 ... k.rar?dl=1
3) In Hauptwerk: choose to reload the organ with the new samples via
"menu Organ | Load organ, adjusting rank audio memory options ......"

If you are installing the sample set for the first time, do the following:
1) First download and install all the files listed is the old text below.
Thereafter
2) Download and install the new Freiberg demo
https://www.sonusparadisi.cz/en/downloa ... mple_id/9/
3) Download and install the ODF
https://www.dropbox.com/s/qnp6pvtrhr0c1 ... k.rar?dl=1

I hopewit works, reactions welcome!
Enjoy!

Text from 2014:

After some months of discussion on the Dutch forum, I can present the final version of a free composite sampleset.
It consists of samples from five SONUSPARADISI's Demo sets of Rotterdam, Kreszkow, St. MAximim, Zwolle and Freiberg, and is actualy an extension of the Rotterdam Demo.
The sampleset has 62 stops, divided over 4 manuals and pedal.
To use this sampleset, you have to download and install the following packages:

Rotterdam Demo:
http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/demo/RottDE ... ptwerk.rar
http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/demo/RottDE ... ptwerk.rar
http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/demo/RottDE ... ptwerk.rar

St. Maximim:
http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/demo/St.Max ... ptwerk.rar

Kreszkow:
http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/demo/Krzesz ... ptwerk.rar

Zwolle (v2.5):
http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/demo/Zwolle ... ptwerk.rar

Freiberg (the old v.2.0, made available with permission of Jiri Zurek. Do not use it for evaluation of this organ model)
https://mega.co.nz/#!c1sXBaLY!Br43qqzjI ... 0g17WE1ufM

The ODF:
http://www.pcorgan.com/opslag/ZurekOrga ... ptwerk.rar

The specification is clear from the pictures below.
The Chamade Trompet is positioned on the 4th manual, but can be playEd from the 3th when de Stop Chamade Aan is used.

There are some transmissions in this sampleset, so when voicing be aware for effects elsewhere.

I want to thank Josq, Evert-Jan and Matthias for their contributions to the work!

Memory requirements:
16bit, single loop, front samples only: 8 GB
20bit, complete in surround: 28 GB

This free set is meant as an advertisement for the high quality sets of Sonusparadisi.
This sets looks like Rotterdam, but the real sampleset of this organ is really much better!

As a beta-tester, I can say that this instrument is far better than any of the free composite sample sets that have been published to date.

It is surprising how well te samples of these five different organs combine. Being inspired by Dutch organ building art, the disposition is logical, intuitive and forms an unity. The critical ear may hear some differences in for example the acoustics of the samples, but larger registrations are in no way harmed; rather, there is much benefit in the possibilities for new register combinations. I find it a very satisfying experience to play this sample set.

Due to the large size, Hauptwerk Advanced is required. The fact that this beautiful sample set is now available for free should make a Hauptwerk Advanced license even more attractive.

The quality competes with all but the best sample sets. There is little doubt that the full versions of the featured sample sets are even more beautiful and hopefully this project will help to make even more people interested in the Sonus Paradisi products.

So if a person has all the demo sets installed that are required for this composite set, which of the above files does a person download and install?

Thanks,

Both. Additionally, you might have to remove the Zwolle v2.5 DEMO.

Absolutely! Anyone that is on the fence concerning whether or not to purchase HW advanced, do yourself a favor and just get it, you will not regret it! Just think about ALL those wonderful organs you will then be able to enjoy, one of the best decisions I ever made!

Dear Anton, wonder if you can give me a few words of advice re. Mega. I seem to be getting it to download, and it says it is a .rar file- but when I attempt to save it. it offers a file called Mega as an HTM or a word file.
I MAY have downloaded it twice already as it has gone through the motions, but if I have, I cannot find it anywhere in Downloads, Music, docs or whatever. All else has gone OK except this Mega?
(Incidentally Kim Dotcom who controls this system has taken residence here in New Zealand and is trying to avoid extradition to US to face piracy charges)

Sorry- have solved the first problem- it was sitting innocently down below the left-hand corner of the screen asking if I wanted to save it- hadn't seen it down there. Now one more problem ! loading the organ v5 says it needs organ package ID000846- Freiberg Core media, which is not installed- which download is that one meant to be in?. I haven't downloaded the Freiberg, but the Rotterdam loads OK.

I think you are almost there. Perhaps you have to download the Freiberg demo: http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/demo/Freibe ... ptwerk.rar

Thanks Josc- that got me as far as the Zurek 4- quite a formidable instrument.
Still not "out of the woods" as v5 starts to load and then discovers that it needs Sample sets and components/organ inst .package for organ 875/pipe/gamba 16/036.wav. I gather this is the pedal gamba rank for the Krestow. On checking that rank is just not there in organ 875. Have I yet to download more?- or is it not finding it in the special download from Dotcom?
I've spent so much time and download data on this I would like to finish and get v5 working as well.
Any more suggestions please

Hi, at this moment I don't understand what the problem is in your case. However, the Krzeszow demo does contain the Gamba 16 (it's on the Hauptwerk, manual II). See http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/en/blog/krz ... ample-set/. Did you download this demo?

Hi,
I'm having trouble with the mega.co.nz download.
I've tried 6 times now - it gets to about halfway (45-52%) and then just stops!
Any ideas please?

Hi Bri, this I don't know, personally I had no difficulties with any of the downloads.

I hope Anton will find time to make a version 6 which either comes with a single download package or which uses the Zwolle v2.5. samples, to make things a bit simpler.

Bri,

Indead, some browsers give a problem with the Mega site
The best solution is to use Chrome portable http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/google_chrome_portable
Install this. Download the package (the RAR file is in the download directory) and install this. And after all goes well, delete the Chrome directory completely if you don't like this browser.

At this moment the ODF of Zurek 5 gives a fault: during installation: you will get an error of a missing Freiberg package.
To solve this, also download the demo - Freiberg package from the Sonus Paradisi site: http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/demo/FreibergDEMO_v_2.CompPkg.Hauptwerk.rar and install this first.

Final install the Zurek 5 ODF.
