Portrait Jambs for St. Maximin Extended v2

PostSat Jan 16, 2016 9:04 am

Hi all,

I created two portrait jambs (left and right) for the wonderful SP St. Maximin sample set (extended v2).

Additional information, screen shots and the download link can be found here:

https://chrschmitz.wordpress.com/st-maximin/

The visual extension installs as as new UniqueOrganID (1982). Therefore, it should not touch the original installation.

All the best,
Chris

I have just been directed here as I am considering buying St Max. I have been playing with the demo version. When I load this to my screens in portrait mode, they are both rotated. All my other organs are OK. Does you your ODF load the screens in the normal. I don't want to proceed as I find out at the moment.

David,

my extensions requires the commercial version of St. Maximin. It does not work with the demo version. If you try to load the ODF you will receive an error message, that packages are missing.

I checked out the demo and have seen that there are indeed rotated jambs for left and right screens. But this is definitively a demo issue and has nothing to do with my extension.

I have a question on this as well. I've owned St. Max about 2 years now and generally use the extended version, I also use the 'console' view with my single monitor as even in the extended version the separate left and right jambs on a single monitor are rotated sideways which is of course not very usable.

With your ODF are the jambs corrected so they show portrait on a single monitor? I would also assume if so, you can only view one jamb (left or right) at a time with a single monitor like it works with other sets?

Thanks,

Marc

Hello Marc,

Sorry, I did not see your question until today. Maybe it is not too late to answer:

If you have the Advanced Edition of Hauptwerk you can open two additional windows (Hauptwerk > View > Console window 2 (and 3)). If you resize these windows to portrait mode, you can nicely use the two new portrait screens on one landscape monitor.

Today I released a minor update for Saint-Maximin Extended v2. A user brought my attention to a feature mainly interesting for consoles with less than 4 manuals, which I had overseen: in order to facilitate manual handling the division labels function as ventils (Sperrventil) and may be used to mute an entire division quickly.
