Hereford default crescendo settings.

PostTue Jan 26, 2016 6:02 pm

Hi,

I was helping some friends with their new Hereford 67xl sample set and discovered that the crescendo pedal did not work and upon entering the crescendo tab discovered that the screen was missing the data. Is there default data for the Hereford crescendo supplied with the sample set? If so where is it stored?

Thanks,

Thomas

Have you tried the 'revert all combinations to the defaults..' on the Registration menu?

Thanks Iain. Yes - that should certainly bring the preset crescendo data back. Another option would be to choose one of the other combination sets (the crescendo data is stored in a combination set in the same way as the divisional and general pistons, so you could easily programme different crescendo settings). It seems odd though that all of the data should go missing in the first place ... I'm not sure why that might happen.

Hope that helps.

Thanks David and Iain,
The real trick will be to restore the crescendo data without disturbing the hours of work on the sequenced combinations in this combination file. Certainly seems a mystery at this point.

Best regards,

Thomas

Is it possible to get a print out of the stops that are actually stored in each piston as a record, then if settings are lost at least there is evidence of what was set up originally?

Following up Erzahler's suggestion – printing out existing combinations is certainly possible. From the Registration menu, choose “Export/view current combinations as text listing”. This gives the option to save the text as a html file, which can then be opened in your usual browser, and printed from there if required.

Thanks organsRgreat. This is a good feature that maybe could be more accessible in the next HW upgrade
