2012 Metzler organ work in progress

PostWed Oct 19, 2016 2:32 pm

Hello all,

the big new Metzler organ (III,56) of Poblet Abbey in Spain should be available by end of November, perhaps earlier.
Some pictures of organ, abbey, surroundings, as well as specification and console screen shots can now be found on
http://www.organartmedia.com/metzler

First demos are to be found on ConcertHall, search for "Poblet"
http://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/home/browse

Perhaps interesting to know, that the complete instrument including all native trems does only need 7.5 GByte with 16-bit standard loading. All (manual) ranks were recorded wit native trems (including all mixtures and reed stops)

The first release will be available by download, a DVD box set with booklet later on.

Looking forward to this one. I hope the Download could also include the Booklet (by PDF Download), as these are always very interesting and informative. But, I'd rather not have to wait until the box set becomes available.

A short introduction to Metzler and the instrument's concept is now available
http://www.organartmedia.com/metzler

A more detailed information about organ builder, instrument and monastery will be
available with the booklet later on.

I have a question concerning this sample set: is Rückpositif enclosed?
Thanks

There are no Swell pedals showing in the console picture. It certainly seems like no enclosures.
