Kiedrich - the Oldest German Organ

PostWed Nov 02, 2016 6:39 am

The instrument in the St. Valentinus and Dionysius church in Kiedrich has the reputation of being the oldest playable organ in Germany. Although that may not be exactly correct, the organ is certainly one of the oldest in Germany, and it contains elements stemming from around 1500. It is available in a virtual form for Hauptwerk now. The sample set can be used in Hauptwerk version 4 and higher. It is available in a surround (6-channels). The audio files are unencrypted, offered in a plain wave format.

More details, including the specification and audio demo samples of the instrument may be found on the Sonus Paradisi web pages:

very nice ... great "small" instrument!
It's a great addition to my little SP collection.

Have to play a bit with the channels and ranks (16/20 or even some 24 bits) next days, demo's on the website give a real good impression.

Many thanks to you Jiri in your attempts to preserve the historical organs, as well as the popular ones. We need to remember our roots!

I have added a small demo version of the Kiedrich sample set: its beautiful Principal 8 and the Flute 4.

To be downloaded directly from the web presentation of the Kiedrich sample set.
