1983 Schantz is now released!

PostMon Jan 30, 2017 11:32 am

We are proud to release our next sample set, a 1983 American Classic Schantz from St. Philip's ELCA in Fridley, Minnesota. Thanks to David Geslin, organist for the church for facilitating access to the instrument, and to the church itself for granting permission to record this fine instrument.

Thanks also to the Beta testers and those of you who gave suggestions on the earlier thread regarding LR jambs and other items.

Stoplist and screenshots are available at the link below, introductory price is $175 (I've extended the date through the end of February, since the original intent was to release this set right after Christmas)

Now, a short break to restore my sanity and reintroduce myself to my very patient wife, and then recording commences on the next project!

Thanks, Eric!

And, thanks to all who have ordered so far - response has been very gratifying, and people are enjoying the set.

We've added 3 more demos to the page, thanks to David Lamb (Agnus_Dei on the CB forum) 2 Pachelbel pieces, and a piece by Whitlock... showcasing the Zimbelstern and the Choir Krummhorn.

Best wishes,

We've had a really great first week of release, thanks to all who have ordered so far. One person said they didn't know whether to thank me or curse me, as they keep stopping other things they should be doing to play the sample set!

Just a side note - since this set will replace the venerable FBR Schantz, FBR will be retired at the end of the intro period for the "new" Schantz.... if you've ever wanted a copy, now is the time!

Thanks for a wonderful sample set! We plan to build a stop tab console based on the Schantz very soon.

I'm very interested in trying this for my small church installation. Are you planning to put together a small demo set? I'm hesitant to buy without trying based on a few disappointing purchases in the past. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Unfortunately, since I have a full time church job in addition to making sample sets, I have limited time to create another version of the sample set....

However, if you will contact me privately, I may have a solution for you - email me at:
jorwig (at) evensongmusic (dot) net and we can discuss.
