Covenant, Long Beach Aeolian Skinner, 86 stops, 81 ranks

PostFri Feb 17, 2017 5:20 pm

Covenant Presbyterian Church, Long Beach
1966 Aeolian Skinner/Murray Harris, 4 manuals, 86 stops, 81 ranks

We're happy to announce again the release of an expanded stoplist of the Covenant Presbyterian Aeolian Skinner. This release also improves the User Interface, with full portrait and landscape screens, along with improved drawknobs where the text moves with the drawknob. The beautiful UI was developed by Christoph Schmitz. His work can also be found at http://www.hauptwerk-organ.com. The stoplist was expanded from the original 56 ranks to 81 ranks by reusing some samples from other parts of the instrument. Details on the instrument can be found here. http://www.clrresources.com/cpclb-aeolian-skinner/

A new demo can be downloaded here. http://www.clrresources.com/cpclb-aeoli ... -download/ See the "DEMO" button

A couple of recordings of the Expanded organ have been posted, BWV544 and a nice Whitlock tune. http://www.clrresources.com/cpclb-aeoli ... ecordings/

This instrument was in excellent shape when it was recorded, and all pipes were sampled. The building is warm, and the recordings incorporate some of that reverb. The core of the instrument is Murray Harris pipework which brings a lot of the 1920's EM Skinner style of voices into the sample set. And during our winter sale, ending March 1, the price of the set is $249.
