POM Organ from Ujpest garden-town (28/2+P) - new sample set

PostMon Apr 17, 2017 4:41 am

I am happy to inform everyone that completed my new sample set. This is an Organ from church of Ujpest garden-town (Hungary). The organ was built in 2006 by Pécs Organ Manufactory.

The organ has two manuals and 28 stops.

The sample sets are available in wave format 48kHz/24bit, stereo, multiple loops (1-14) and multiple releases (2 levels). Equal, a=440 Hz. The reverb 2.5 s, reflects the original acoustics of the church. Hauptwerk v4.0 and higher supported for the Organ Definition Files.

The sample sets made in several forms.
1. The version of stereo mix (mixing of near and far and rear recording).
2, Semidry version (stereo recording two meters in front of the organ)
3. Wet version (stereo recording space of the church)
4. Surround version (3 pairs of stereo recording up close (near) and at a distance (far) and in the background (rear).

Audio demos:
stereo/mix version: Buttstedt Christ lag in Todesbanden , Zachov; Nun komm der heiden Heiland ,
Mozart: Andante in C major , Franck; Prelude, Fugue et Variation (op. 18)
,

surround version; Bach; Aus der Tiefe ruf ich , Elert: O Gott, du frommer Gott. Op. 65 No 50.
Elert; Nun danket alle Gott Op.65 No.59

Five of my friends helped my work, Dominique Dantand, Gérard Lefranc, Istvan Nagy Enrico Sandrini, and Adrian Wheal They tested the sample set and/or prepared audio demos and gave me a lot of good advice.Their merit if the sample set became good. I really thank you for their work.
Best regards, Augustine

I am very impressed with this versatile set! It has the added benefit of having a stoplist almost identical to a local church in my town which I play from time to time. Will be placing an order soon.

Every organ that Augustine comes out with is a jewel. Even though it is small, small is good when done well. This one is well thought out with the ability to play many genres of music. Samples seem clear and well done. Reverb is there, but not so long as to interfere with practice. I only wish that many of the church organs that I played in my youth were as good as this one!

Flutes are sweet, celeste is mellow, principals are sharp and full, and tutti is powerful! It has a complete complement of mutations as well as mixtures, standard reeds. A very well done organ at a bargain price! It is good for us to have a choice of large and small organs of quality that we can afford,

Thank you Augustine, you've done it again!

After the many small ones, the next one will be a big one. I'm scared a bit. Anyway, I will be silent for 4-5 months. :)

Don't be scared, just pretend that it's 3 or 4 (or 5 or 6?) small organs! :D

After using the surround version of this sample set for several weeks, it has become my go-to practice organ. Small but very versatile. Doesn't require excessive amounts of RAM, loads quickly, and sounds really great. Very worthwhile purchase!

Thanks for your positive feedback. It's a pleasure for me if you like my job. Now I'm making a tiny Swiss organ's sample that will be shareware, everyone can test the whole sample set.

I just listened to the 2 pieces posted (from the Swiss organ) on Contrebombarde site, all I can say is wow! BEAUTIFUL!!! That Bach piece was playing and my wife thought it was a recorder ensemble playing, not an organ, my guess is a Bourdon, but so clear and sweet!

I can hardly wait! :D

Thank you for the recognition. I'm trying to make better samples. If that succeeds, I can only thank you because I can buy the better recording equipment from this money you give me. My next sample set is completed. This is a small Swiss organ that can be freely downloaded (shareware) and Bourdon is also very nice here. :)
