Armagni & Mingot organ from Luins (Switzerland) - new sample

Postby takatsa » Wed Jun 21, 2017 2:47 pm

I am happy to inform everyone that completed our new sample set. This is an Armagni & Mingot organ from Switzerland. The organ was built in 1974. This is the second joint work of « Association de l’orgue virtuel des Eaux-Vives « (AOEV) and Augustine's Virtual Organs (AVO). Alain Grandchamp and Yves-Noël Denis recorded the organ.

The organ has two manuals and pedal and 12 (+9 expansion) stops.

The sample sets are available in wave format 48kHz/24bit, stereo, multiple loops (usually 10-14) and multiple releases (3 levels). Equal, a=440 Hz. Hauptwerk v4.0 and higher supported for the Organ Definition Files.
This is shareware and you can download the full version freely.

The sample sets made in several forms.
1. The version of stereo mix (mixing of near and far and rear recording).
2. Semidry version (stereo recording two meters in front of the organ)
3. Wet version (stereo recording space of the church)
4. Surround version (3 pairs of stereo recording up close (near) and at a distance (far) and in the background (rear).

Audio demos:
stereo/mix version: Pachelbel - Chacconne in f minor , Bach - Wie nach einer Wasserquelle BWV 1119, Zipoli - Versi I-IV in Re minore, Amadeo - Postcomunio in G
surround version; Pinottini - Sonata per Organo pieno, Padre Davide - Elevatione, Handel - Allegro in A minor, Handel - Largo in G minor

More information.

Another winner in my opinion. Although small and rather dry, it has a lot of character and I've never minded dry-ish sets. The 1' principal is gorgeous. Even though not original, I appreciate the addition of the swell pedal which makes it more useful during practice.

To me, the set is 10x more desirable simply because it's from a remote village church in Switzerland with a beautiful view :D

I am in complete agreement with Tweedle Dee. This set is quite charming. The Bourdon alone is probably the sweetest I have ever heard, and combined with the 1' Principal, makes a solo that is so uniquely clear and bright without being harsh! The Musette is also a gem. Quite a unique instrument, well worth the meager donation!

Dear Tweedle_Dee and Scottherbert,
Thank you for your appreciation. For me, the biggest donation is if you're happy to use my sample sets. (But, of course, AOEV is grateful for every penny. :D )

Enjoying the new Luins Organ. I've sent in my Donation. The sounds are quite lovely, and the Organ has a lot of character. It now ranks among my Preferred Sample Sets! Enjoy!

Ditto. I love this little set and use it almost daily now. The principal chorus is really nice and not too shrill. I was looking for more pictures of the Swiss church where it resides and found this video with some good views of it...
