I read in the SP web page "do not load in 16 bit" . I have only 16 gigas ram not enough for 20 or 24 bits. I read also in 16 bits there are tails in the sound and some noises, I would like to order the sample but I want to be sure, that's the reason of my question, thanks Jack
Also, it depends whether you want to use the surround channels or not. If you don't load the 'rear' samples at all you would (presumably) halve the required RAM for 20 bit to less than 10 Gb.
Personally I don't hear any difference between 16 and 20 bit, let alone 24 bit. In a thread some years ago on this forum it showed nobody hears a difference. When you have very good ears, however, you might hear some "hissing" in the tails of the soundsamples when they are loaded in 16 bit. This is nothing special for the Krzeszow sampleset, it happens in all sets (in varying degrees). That hissing disappears almost completely at 20 bit. As I hardly ever hear anything like this, I load all my sets in 16 bit.
