Mietke harpsichord too "wet"

PostTue Mar 13, 2018 8:48 am

Hello,
I'm new on this forum and I have a question.
I downloaded the free version of the Mietke harpsichord, that is very good but also very very "wet" (too much reverb).
Is it possible to set the instrument for the "dry" version I listened in the demos on the Sonus Paradisi site?
Thanks for the answer.

When you load the sample set you can shorten the release tail.

If you have already loaded the sample set once, you have to load the organ again with

Hauptwerk > Organ > Load organ, adjust rank audio/memory options/routing ...

In the next window (Rank Audio/Memory Options and Routing) mark all ranks, which release tails should be shortened and choose Release sample truncation: . Here you can experiment with the different options until you find your personal preference.

Hope that helps!

Cheers,
Chris

BTW: This works only if the sample set producer allows to shorten the release tail.

Thank you very much, Chris!
I hope the sample set producer allows to shorten the release tail, because in the demos some pieces are "wet" and some other "dry".
Does someone possess that instrument and can confirm it?

Hello James,

Yes -- we host it for download in the 'Downloads | Instruments' section of the website: https://www.hauptwerk.com/downloads/instrument-downloads/
